Resizing or cropping a photo to a specific aspect ratio can be necessary for a variety of situations. The most common is for creating a print in a standard size. For example, a U.S. standard print size is 8×10 inches, which equates to a 4:5 aspect ratio. Let’s resize and crop a photo to fit.

  1. Open an image in Single Photo View that you wish to resize to a specific aspect ratio, then click the Crop icon in the Quick Actions Bar.

  1. Click Aspect Ratio at the bottom of Mylio Photos and select an aspect ratio or enter a custom aspect ratio. For this example, we’ll choose 5×7 inches.

  1. To move the image inside the crop, click inside the image and drag to reposition the image inside the crop rectangle.
  2. When you’re happy with the results, press Enter on your keyboard or select Done at the bottom of Mylio Photos.

At this time there isn’t an option to save a custom crop preset, but the built-in preset for 2x3 is the same ratio as 4x6. Hope that helps!

We print many 4 x 6 prints. When we crop, we can't get the "Custom" aspect ratio to save the custom aspect at a 4x6 dimension. Thus, we have to repopulate the size fields each photo. Any recommendation to address this is very appreciated.
