Scanning film negatives is a great way to preserve high-quality versions of your historical photos. The initial scan is typically an orange-brown hue and doesn’t look like the printed image you might remember. That is because these images need to be Inverted so the “negative” colors are shown as “positive”. Mylio Photos makes this process quick and easy with the Invert option in the Color panel.
To Invert a film negative to a positive:
- Open an image in Single Photo View, then open the Edit Panel in the right panel.
- In the Color section, click or tap Invert.
- Once the negative has been converted to a positive, quickly correct and balance colors with AutoColor or make other refinements using Mylio Photos’ editing tools.
