Protecting your memories is a fundamental part of Mylio Photos+. The process begins by designating one or more of your devices as a Vault. A Vault can be any device that has enough available storage to hold your entire photo library.

A Vault is a device that contains your entire photo library, including the full-resolution original files, along with your Mylio Photos+ catalog that includes all organization information you’ve added in the Mylio Photos+ app.

Choosing a Vault

When choosing a device to serve as a Vault, it’s important to consider the size of your Mylio Photos Library. A Vault can be any device or cloud service with enough space to store your entire Mylio Photos Library.

Popular options include external hard drives, NAS devices, RAID (redundant array of independent disks) devices, and cloud services such as Microsoft OneDrive, or Google Drive. Learn more about data storage options here.

Adding a Vault

To designate a computer as a Vault, adjust the Device Quality Settings in the Dashboard.
