Using Wasabi with Mylio Photos+

*NOTE: The steps below are an example configuration using Wasabi with Mylio Photos+. Please consult Wasabi documentation should your settings or options differ from the example below.

1. Login to your Wasabi account in a browser.
   • If you don’t have a Wasabi account, sign up at https://wasabi.com.

2. Under Data Access, choose Buckets, then click the button to Create Bucket.

3. Set up your Bucket with the following settings:
   • Create a Bucket Name.
   • Select a Region from the drop-down menu. Make a note of the Bucket Name and URL for your selected region in a safe place (e.g. a notes app or word processing document) for later use, then click NEXT.
   • Set Bucket Version and Bucket Logging to the OFF position, then click NEXT.
   • Click the Create Bucket button.

!WARNING: Bucket Versioning and Object Lock must be disabled for any bucket used as a Mylio Photos cloud device.

4. Under Data Access, choose Access Keys, then click the button to Create New Access Key.

5. Select Root User, then click Create.

6. Click Copy Keys to Clipboard and paste the information into a safe place (e.g. a notes app or word processing document) for later use.

!WARNING: Be sure to copy your Access Key and Secret Key and paste the information into a safe place. This information cannot be retrieved after navigating away from this page.

7. Click or tap on the Dashboard icon  in the left sidebar.

8. Select Devices then click or tap the ADD button at the top of the Devices section then choose Cloud Service from the Add Device dialog.

9. Choose S3 Compatible Cloud or NAS Storage.

10. Choose either Encrypt my files or Don’t encrypt my files. Then click the Add Cloud Drive button.

11. Locate the Bucket Name and Region URL address that you copied in step 3.
    • Add https:// at the beginning of the URL. For example, s3.us-west-1.wasabisys.com becomes https://s3.us-west-1.wasabisys.com
    • Add /bucketname to the end of the URL. For example https://https://s3.us-west-1.wasabisys.com becomes https://s3.us-west-1.wasabisys.com/bucketname
    • Paste the URL with https:// and the /bucketname to the Server Endpoint (URL) field in Mylio Photos.

12. Enter the Access Key you copied in step 6 into the Access Key field.
13. Enter the Secret Key you copied in step 6 into the Secret Key field.

14. Click the Connect button. Once the connection is complete, you’ll see a success message.

15. Mylio Photos+ will analyze the cloud service you choose and recommend a setup based on the size of your Mylio Photos Library and the available storage of the cloud service that you’re adding. In this example, Mylio Photos+ is recommending that Wasabi be set up as a Vault, which will keep a complete copy of the Mylio Photos Library.
    • To choose a different setup, tap or click the Custom Setup button and select the Sync Policy Preset you’d like to use. Want to create a custom sync policy? Click here to learn how.

*TIP: Adding two or more devices as Vaults provides backup and protection against device failure or loss.

16. Once you’ve selected your preferred sync policy, click or tap the Looks Good button to complete the setup. Wasabi will be added and visible in the Devices section of the Dashboard.
