It’s simple to check and edit dates and times in your metadata so your photos show in chronological order in the Calendar and All Photos views. An image might need to have its capture date adjusted for several reasons. Here are a few examples:
- The image was scanned from a print. By default, scanned media shows the capture date as the scan date, rather than the date the photo was taken.
- You got a new camera and started taking pictures without adjusting the camera’s internal date and time setting.
- You visited a location outside your home time zone, which caused the time stamp of a series of images to be off by one or more hours.
If you are unsure about the exact date and time for an image, you can change the date to reflect a time frame (such as a season, year, or decade) or mark it as undated.
No matter the reason, correcting the date and time is easy with Mylio Photos.
Timestamp
The Timestamp option lets you easily adjust the time and date for media in your Mylio Photos Library.
- Select a photo or series of photos.
- Open the Info Panel in the right panel and scroll down to the Date Created section.
- Click or tap on the Timestamp to manually edit the date and time, or click on the calendar icon to pick a date and time.
Shift
The Shift option allows you to adjust the time and date by a set amount of time. This is particularly helpful for correcting time-zone issues.
- Select a photo or series of photos.
- Open the Info Panel in the right panel and scroll down to the Date Created section.
- Click or tap on the menu icon (three horizontal dots next to Date Created) and choose << Shift >>.
- Choose the number of Days, Hours, Minutes, Seconds, and Subseconds to shift the time and date, then tap or click the Shift button.
