Most modern cameras do an excellent job of automatically sharpening images and reducing noise and other artifacts when capturing images as JPGs. However, if you shoot in Raw, or prefer a more stylized look, you may need to add Sharpening or Noise Reduction to make your photos appear clean and finished.
*TIP: Double-click on a photo to zoom in to 100% when working with Sharpen and Noise Reduction. This will allow you to see the results more easily.
*TIP: Reducing Noise and adding Detail/Sharpness is a balancing act. Noise Reduction softens details and can reduce overall Sharpness. Sharpening can intensify grain and noise. Make sure you use the Sharpen slider in conjunction with Noise Reduction for the best overall results.
