Copy and Paste is a quick and easy way to export images from Mylio Photos to use in other applications. Mylio Photos uses your operating system’s clipboard to temporarily store a copy of your photo that you can paste into most applications or even image-ready fields in a web browser.
Using Copy and Paste on a Computer
Mylio Photos will use the settings from your most recent export when copying and pasting. For example, if you recently exported a large-size JPEG at high quality with a watermark, images sent via copy-and-paste to other applications will use these settings. If you prefer additional control over the copy-and-paste settings, specify them by clicking on the Export icon in the right sidebar and selecting System Clipboard.
Simple Copy and Paste
- Open Mylio Photos and select a photo or series of images.
- Click on the hamburger icon
in the right sidebar to open the Actions Menu then select Clipboard > Copy or open the Edit menu in the operating system menu bar and choose Copy.
- Switch to the application where you’d like to use the image(s) and open the Edit menu in the operating system menu bar and choose Paste or use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + V (Windows) or Cmd + V (macOS) to paste your images.
Advanced Copy and Paste

- Bit Depth – Available for PNG and TIFF File Types. Bit depth measures how much color is available for the display or printing of each pixel
- 8-Bit – The most common bit depth. An 8-bit image will display a little more than 16 million colors.
- 16-Bit – Provides editing flexibility but can increase file sizes and processing times. A 16-bit image will be able to display over 280 trillion colors.
- Auto – Mylio Photos will choose the appropriate bit-depth for your export based on the quality of the original.
- Safeshare – Strip all metadata from the exported image(s), including Camera EXIF, Caption and Keywords, Ratings, Copyright, IPTC, People, and Places.
