Guest Mode lets you hand your device to a family member, friend, or client so they can view photos without the risk of their editing, moving, or deleting your images.
Guest Mode disables:
- Moving, deleting, and renaming photos.
- Showing files in Finder/Explorer.
- Editing photos.
- Importing and Exporting Photos.
- Accessing the Settings menu.
- Adjusting your Mylio subscription.
Guest Mode Options:
- Allow Sharing lets users in Guest Mode share and export images. This is useful if they want to select photos to send to themselves or someone else.
- Allow Rating lets users in Guest Mode add star ratings, flags, and color labels to images. This is useful if working with someone else to get feedback on an album or folder of photos.
Enable Guest Mode
- Click or tap on the Dashboard icon
in the left sidebar, select Devices, then click on the device card for the device you want to manage.
- Scroll down to the Access section and toggle the switch to the ON position.
- Create a 4-digit PIN. This will enable you to turn Guest Mode OFF when your guest is finished.
- If desired, toggle the switches next to Allow Sharing and Allow Rating.
Disable Guest Mode
- Click or tap on the Dashboard icon
in the left sidebar, select Devices, then click on the device card for the device you want to manage.
- Scroll down to the Access section and toggle the switch to the OFF position.
- Enter your 4-digit PIN to disable Guest Mode.
