Mylio Photos includes a Sample Library to help you get acquainted with the software. You can choose to add the Sample Library when you first install Mylio Photos or add (and easily remove) it later on as you explore Mylio Photos’ features.
The Sample Library is an example of what your fully organized library might look like. Images are organized into Albums, face tags have been added so you can explore the People View, and many photos include GPS coordinates so you can see where they were captured in the Map View. We’ve also added keywords and other metadata to give a complete representation of ways you can organize your own media.
You can explore the Sample Library on your own or follow along with the tutorials in the Quick Start Guide and other examples throughout this User Manual.
Installing the Sample Library
To add the Sample Library during your initial Mylio Photos installation, choose Install Sample Library at the end of the setup process.
If you skipped this step during the initial installation, you can add the Sample Library at any time. Click or tap on the question mark icon in the top app bar to access the Help menu, then select Add Sample Library.
Using the Sample Library
You can use the Sample Library to fully explore Mylio Photos’ features by following along with the examples in the Quick Start Guide. Or, you can explore on your own.
The Sample Library automatically downloads Optimized Images. These files are perfect for storage-limited devices yet are still fully editable, shareable, and contain raw data. You can also download the Original-quality files if you wish.
To download Original-quality files (optional):
- Click or tap on the Folders icon
in the left sidebar.
- Locate the Shared Content section then single-click on the Sample Library folder.
- Right-click on the Sample Library folder and choose Download Originals.
How to Remove the Sample Library
When you’re finished exploring Mylio Photos with the Sample Library, it can easily be removed. Click or tap on the question mark icon in the top app bar to access the Help menu, then select Remove Sample Library. This will remove all images and metadata from the Sample Library from your Mylio Photos application.
