Creating a Custom Device Sync Policy

1. Open Mylio Photos, go to the Dashboard view and choose Devices.

2. Select the Device Card for the device you’re currently using and open the Device Quality settings.

3. Click or tap Advanced Settings to reveal additional options.

4. Under Device Quality choose Thumbnails or Auto Optimized.

• Auto Optimized will let Mylio Photos manage the photo quality settings based on the available storage on your device. Click here to learn more about Auto Optimization.
• Thumbnails will sync all thumbnails to the selected device and let you manually set the photo quality settings for Smart Previews and Originals.

5. Click or tap Show Customizations to adjust photo quality options for your selected device. You can choose to sync all Smart Previews, and/or Originals, or filter the synced Smart Previews and Originals based on their star ratings, color labels, and keywords.

6. To specify syncing options for Smart Previews, click the P icon.
   • Toggle the switch next to Sync All Smart Previews to the ON position to sync all Smart Previews to the selected device.
   • Sync specific Smart Previews by applying a filter using star ratings, color labels, or keywords.

7. To specify syncing options for Originals, click the O icon.
   • Toggle the switch next to Sync All Originals to the ON position to sync all Originals to the selected device.
   • Sync specific Originals by applying a filter using star ratings, color labels, or keywords.

*NOTE: Toggling ON the switch next to Sync All Smart Previews or Sync All Originals will override your device’s Auto Optimization and use additional storage space as needed.

8. When you’re finished making changes, click the Apply Changes button.

*NOTE: If you downgrade the Sync Policy for a device or folder you will need to clear the cache to free up disk space.
