Auto-Tagging People

Once a face has been identified in Mylio Photos, the app will Auto-Tag similar faces to speed up face-tagging. When images are auto-tagged, you’ll see a question mark icon on that person’s collection, prompting you to accept or reject one or more suggested face tags.

1. Click the People icon in the left sidebar.
2. Each person you’ve tagged will have their collection. If Mylio Photos has found new photos of that person, you’ll see a question mark icon on the collection.
3. Double-click on the collection to accept or reject the Auto-Tag suggestions.
4. Confirm face tags individually or as a batch.
   • To confirm face tags, select one or more images:
     • Click the Checkmark icon to accept the Auto-Tag.
     • Click or tap the Question Mark icon to choose another name from your list or add a new name.
     • Click or tap the X icon to reject the Auto-Tag.
5. When you’re finished, click the Navigate Back arrow to return to the People view.

*TIP: When tagging photos in the grid view, Mylio Photos will automatically Zoom to Face to help you easily identify and tag people. If you’d prefer to see the entire image, click the ellipsis icon in the top app bar to access the More menu and toggle the Zoom to Face option OFF.

Viewing All, Proposed, or Confirmed Faces

By default, Mylio Photos’ People view will display faces you’ve tagged and Auto-Tag proposals for similar faces. If you’d like to view only the proposed faces or just the confirmed faces, you can switch between views in the More menu .

1. Click the People icon in the left sidebar.
2. Double-click on a person to view their collection.
3. Click the ellipsis icon in the top app bar to access the More menu and choose * Show Faces*.
4. Select one of the following options:
   • All – View all faces including Proposed and Confirmed.
   • Proposed – View all Auto-Tag face proposals and hide Confirmed results.
   • Confirmed – View only Confirmed faces and hide all Auto-Tag proposals.

Disable Auto-Tagging Faces

Auto-Tag can help speed up organizing and tagging faces in your library, but if you prefer not to use it, you can turn it off.

1. Click the ellipsis icon in the top app bar to access the More menu and choose Settings.
2. Select Advancd, then toggle the switch next to Enable Auto-Tagging to the OFF position.
