Adding a watermark helps protect your photos when sharing online. Mylio Photos offers the option to add a customizable text watermark to all exported photos. Mylio Photos’ watermark settings are device-specific, meaning that you can create a unique watermark to use when exporting from each of your devices.

Adding a Watermark on a Computer
  1. Select the photo(s) you wish to export.
  2. Click the Share icon from the right sidebar.
  3. Select a share option. Mylio Photos can add watermarks to these export types:
    • Email
    • Messages (macOS only)
    • AirDrop (macOS only)
    • Flickr
    • Export
    • Print
  4. Toggle the Apply Watermark option ON, then click the Export button.

Adding a Watermark on a Phone or Tablet
  1. Click the ellipsis icon in the top app bar to access the More menu and choose Settings.
  2. Select Export & Sharing.
  3. Toggle the Apply Watermark option ON.
  4. Close Settings, and select the photo(s) you wish to export.
  5. Click the Share icon and select the destination for your shared media.

Customizing Your Text Watermark

Mylio Photos offers several choices for customizing the text and placement of your watermark.

  1. Follow the steps above to add a watermark on a computer or mobile device.
  2. After toggling the Apply Watermark option ON, click or tap the arrow to the right of your current watermark.
  3. Choose from the following settings:
    • Watermark Text – Enter the text you would like applied to your photos.
    • Horizontal – Choose the horizontal placement for your watermark.
    • Vertical – Choose the vertical placement for your watermark.
    • Height % – Choose the height (size) of your watermark as a percentage of the total photo.
    • Margin % – Choose the distance from the edge of the photo for your watermark. A higher % will create a larger inset.
    • Font – Choose the font for your watermark. (Windows and macOS only, not available for Android and iOS.)
    • Foreground Color – Choose a color for your watermark text.
    • Background Color – Choose a background color for your watermark, if desired.
  4. Click or tap the back arrow at the top of the Watermark dialog, then continue with your share/export if using a computer, or tap the in the upper left corner on mobile devices to save your settings and proceed with your Export.
