If you have a device listed on your account that you no longer use or possess, you can remove and Unregister the device from your Mylio Account. This may be necessary if you get a new computer, reformat the hard drive on your existing computer, or upgrade to a new phone or tablet. Unregistering a device severs its connection to your Mylio Account. This means the device can no longer sync with your other Mylio-connected devices, but any photos or files stored on that device will not be deleted. For example, if you unregister an external hard drive, Mylio Photos will no longer be able to sync and update the files on that drive, but any files already stored there will remain.

Remove a Device From the Mylio Photos+ Dashboard

  1. Click the Dashboard icon in the left sidebar, then select Devices.
  2. Select the device you wish to remove, scroll to the bottom of the Device Details panel, and click the Unregister Device button.
  3. Confirm the change following the on-screen instructions.

Hi Staci - If the phone is no longer available, Mylio Photos unfortunately cannot access those files. You can go ahead and click OK to unregister the device. In the future, before you trade in a device, please make sure that you launch Mylio Photos on that device and let the sync complete by letting Mylio Photos run in the foreground to ensure all media has been backed up to your other device(s).

I was going to remove my old phone since I no longer have it. I am getting this message-
"This device contains original files that are not protected by other Mylio Photos devices. If you unregister this device, Mylio Photos may lose access to those files and will be unable to sync them."
Should I click OK anyway? I no loner have the phone, I traded it in when I got the new phone.I don't think I have any other option?

Hi, Ishwar. After reinstalling Mylio Photos on your phone, the phone was added as a new device. The "old" phone (showing as offline) can be selected on the Dashboard and unregistered.
