Adding Events to your LifeCalendar makes finding photos from special occasions and other memorable moments more accessible than ever. When you create an Event, all images from the specified date(s) will be automatically grouped. Once an Event has been created, you’ll see an Event Bar across the bottom of the day, week, month, or year in the Calendar view. You can quickly view the photos from any event by clicking on any Event Bar on your Calendar.

  2. Right-click your selection or tap the kebab icon in the right sidebar to access the Actions menu.

Creating a New Event from a Folder

Adding an event from a folder tells Mylio Photos to use metadata from the media in a folder to establish a start and end date for a new Event.

  2. Click the info icon at the top of the right sidebar to reveal the right panel and access the Info Panel.
  3. Scroll to the Categories section and toggle the switch next to Show Folder as Calendar Event to the ON position.
  4. Enter a few details about your Event.

Option 2

  2. Right-click on your selection (or tap the Actions menu), then choose Add to > New Event.
  3. Enter a few details about your Event then click the Save button.

Customizing Event Details

  • Cover Photo – Click the pencil icon on the thumbnail to select a cover photo for your Event.
  • Event Date – Adjust the date(s) for your Event. If necessary, click the ellipsis icon to choose a Timestamp, Date Range, or other date option.
  • Event Name – Add a title for your Event.
  • Description – Add an optional description for your Event.
  • Categories – Click the plus icon to assign one or more Categories to your Event.
  • Priority – Adjusting the priority of an event tells Mylio how to rank this Event compared to other Events. Life Events are assigned the highest priority.
  • Autoplay Slideshow – When turned ON, Mylio will automatically start a slideshow when the Event is viewed.
  • Scoped by – Choose Date or Folder to populate the Event (i.e., all photos from a particular date or a specific Folder.)
  • Event Filter – Apply a custom QuickFilter to an Event to display specific photos. For example, you can choose 4 & 5 Stars or Picked Flags to view only your best images when viewing an Event.
