The Mylio Photos+ Cache is a temporary holding area used when sync settings are adjusted. For instance, you may have used Sync on Demand to temporarily access an optimized image or original-quality (full-resolution) file on a device that is set to keep the catalog only, or you may have used Tap to Sync to change the sync policy for a specific folder.

Cached files are represented by a green squiggly line in the Sync Panel. This shows that a device has photos and videos (or higher quality versions of a photo or video) that it does not need.

If your device is set to SpaceSaver, Mylio Photos+ will monitor the cache, and if your device becomes full, will automatically manage the cache. However, in some instances, you may want to manually empty the cache if your device is running low on storage. To clear the cache:

  1. Click the Dashboard icon  in the left sidebar.
  2. Select Devices, then click a Device Card to open the Device Settings
  3. Click the Clear Cache button.
  4. Mylio Photos will show the number of optimized and original-quality (full-resolution) images that can be cleared from the cache. Complete the process by clicking the YES button.
