Mylio Photos’ Brush tool allows you to add local adjustments to specific areas of your photo. Any editing slider in Mylio Photos can be applied as a brush.

  1. Open an image in Single Photo View, then click the edit icon to open the Edit Panel.
  2. Click the brushes icon at the top of the Edit Panel.
  3. Using your cursor, paint over the area you’d like to adjust. In this example, the subject’s eyes are in the shadows, so we’ll gently use the brush tool to lighten that specific area.
    • Adjust the brush size using the Radius slider at the bottom of the screen or with [ and ] keyboard shortcuts.
    • Click on the gear icon to access additional settings:
      • Show/Hide Brush Overlay – When enabled, this will apply a red overlay to indicate the location of your brush strokes.
      • Show/Hide Anchor(s) – When enabled, this will show you the location of each brush instance and allow you to select and modify different brushes.
  4. Move the adjustment sliders to create the desired effect. To lighten the eyes, we’ll increase Exposure, Shadows, and add a small amount of Clarity for detail.
  5. To add a new brush using a different set of adjustments, click New at the bottom of the screen, then repeat steps 3 and 4.
  6. When you’re finished adding local adjustments, click Done at the bottom of the screen to close the Brush tool.
