Custom Spaces in Mylio Photos let you organize your library into focused, purpose-driven views. As an individual user, you can use Custom Spaces to highlight specific themes, activities, or projects.

In this example, we’ll walk through creating a Custom Space for all media related to a social club. The user has already:

  • Created a custom Category called “My Social Club
  • Tagged specific folders with the “My Social Club” Category
  • Applied the Category to relevant photos and videos
  • Tagged People in the People View who are members of the social club and assigned them the same Category

This setup ensures that the Custom Space will include all relevant content—regardless of whether it’s grouped in folders, attached to individual media, or associated with specific people—providing a complete view of the social club’s activity within the library.

To Create a Custom Space:

  1. Click the Spaces icon in the left sidebar.
  2. Select Manage Spaces and enter your Master Passcode if prompted.
  3. Click the Add button to create a new Space.

  1. Enter a name for your Space. For example, My Social Club.
  2. Adjust the following options as desired:
    • Passcode Protect – Optional: Enable a passcode if you want to limit access to this Space.
    • Manage File Access – Select the Category you’ve already created for “My Social Club.”
    • Manage Views & Tools – Customize which parts of the interface (e.g., Map View, Folders, Dashboard) are visible in this Space.
  3. When finished, click Save.

Your new Custom Space will now appear in the Spaces menu. It provides a clean, focused view of all media related to your social club—without affecting your main library or needing to sort files manually.
