Adjusting White Balance

White Balance defines the “true white” in a photo. Most cameras have a variety of white balance presets for different lighting situations, but in some cases, you may need to adjust the result. An image that is too “cool” will have a bluish color cast. An image that is too “warm” will have a yellowish color cast. The White Balance adjustments can quickly correct these issues.

1. Open an image in Single Photo View, then click the edit icon to open the Edit Panel.
2. On a computer or tablet, twirl down the arrow next to White Balance.
   • On a phone, tap the edit icon , then tap the color icon .
3. On a computer or tablet, adjust the Temp °K and Tint sliders to remove any unnatural color cast.
   • On a phone, scroll horizontally over Vibrance and Saturation to reveal the Temp °K and Tint settings, if needed; then tap Temp °K and Tint to reveal the sliders for each tool.

Temp °K –Temp °K refers to the color temperature of the light, which is measured in degrees Kelvin. This slider warms or cools an image by adding blue or yellow to change the color temperature.

• If your image is too blue, move the Temp °K slider to the right. You will notice the blue disperse and the yellow increase.
• If your image is too yellow, move the Temp °K slider to the left. You will notice the yellow disperse and the blue increase.

Tint – The Tint slider adjusts an image’s amount of green or magenta.

• To increase the green in your image, move the Tint slider to the left.
• To decrease the green in your image, move the Tint slider to the right.
