The Folders view in Mylio Photos represents the folders on your computer, external hard drives, and other devices where your media is stored. Depending on the media you’ve added to Mylio Photos, the Folders view may be divided into several sections.
- Mylio Photos Library – This section contains the Mylio InBox and Apple Photos (if added). It may also include folders marked as Library Folders or Android Photos from a Mylio Photos+ Android device.
- Shared Content – This section shows any shared content, such as the Sample Library if installed.
- Social Media – This section shows folders of media downloaded from social media services such as Facebook, Instagram, and Flickr.
- Devices with Linked Folders – This section shows linked folders from computers, external drives, and NAS devices.

- Understanding Annotations in Folders View
-
Annotations are graphic overlays that display information about a group of media. In the Folders view, you’ll see a number at the top left corner of each folder. This indicates the number of files in that folder. If a folder has nested sub-folders, you may also see a folder icon and a second number indicating how many sub-folders are contained within that folder.
Additional and optional annotations may be present on the top right corner of each folder for Tap to Categorize and Tap to Sync. To show or hide these annotations, click the ellipsis icon in the top app bar to access the More menu, choose Annotations, then toggle the switch next to each option to the ON or OFF position as desired.
- Use Folder Icons or Legacy Folder View Thumbnails
-
Each folder in the Folders View is displayed using a folder-shape graphic. If you prefer the classic look of Folders View, you can switch to the legacy square thumbnail.
- Click the ellipsis icon in the top app bar to access the More menu and choose Settings.
- Select Device Appearance, then toggle the switch next to Use Folder Icons to the OFF position.
