Move Files and Folders

Whether you’re refining your folder structure, organizing recent imports from the Mylio InBox, or consolidating content from multiple devices, Mylio Photos makes it easy to move files and folders while keeping everything in sync across your library.

You can use Move to Folder to move individual photos or videos into more specific folders based on events, people, or projects. You can also use Move to Folder to move entire subfolders to group related content under a different parent folder.

Move to Folder works from any device. When Mylio syncs, those changes apply across all your devices — so you can organize folders that live on your computer or an external drive from your phone or tablet, even when you’re away from home.

!IMPORTANT: When you move files or folders in Mylio Photos, they are also moved in your computer’s file system. These changes are reflected on the original storage device and automatically synced to all connected devices.

How to Move Files or Folders

1. Click the Spaces icon in the left sidebar.
2. Select the Everything Space to ensure full access to all folders and files in your library.
   • If prompted, enter your PIN code to unlock restricted content.

3. Select the photo(s), video(s), or folder(s) you want to move.
4. Open the Actions menu for your selection using one of these methods:
   • Computer or tablet: Right-click your selection, or click the Actions menu icon (three vertical dots) at the bottom of the right sidebar. You can also go to Organize > Move to Folder in the menu bar.
   • Phone: Tap the Actions menu icon (three horizontal lines in a square) in the far right of the bottom bar.
5. Select Photo/Folder > Move to Folder.

6. In the Choose Destination dialog, choose where to place the selected media using one of the following methods:
   • Filter by folder name to quickly search for an existing folder.
   • Browse the folder tree to navigate to the desired folder.
   • Select an existing folder in the folder tree and click New Folder to create a new destination folder on the spot.
   • Use the Recent Folders section to quickly access previously used destinations.
7. Once you’ve selected your destination, click Select to complete the move.
