Emailing photos of important moments to friends, family, or colleagues is a great way to keep in touch. Mylio Photos makes emailing photos quick and easy, whether you’re on your computer or using a mobile device on the go.
- Emailing Files from a Computer

Mylio works with your computer’s default email client, allowing you to email photos directly from your Mylio Photos Library.
- Select a photo or series of photos.
- Click the Share icon from the right sidebar and choose Email.
- Select the export options you’d like to use.
- Click the Create Email button to launch your default email client. A new email will be created with your images attached.
- Emailing Photos of People

If you’ve used Mylio Photos facial recognition to tag friends and family and then added contact information for those people, you can use PhotoExplorer to share a single photo or quickly create an email with every photo you’ve tagged with them in.
- Click the People icon in the left sidebar, and select a person.
- Click the info icon at the top of the right sidebar to reveal the right panel and access the Info Panel.
- Click on the email icon at the top of the Info Panel to create an email with every photo that person is tagged in.
- Emailing Files from a Phone or Tablet

Mobile devices offer similar email options to those on a computer but must be configured before email creation. If you’d like to customize the size and quality of your shared photos, click here to learn how to change export and sharing settings.
- Select a photo or series of photos.
- Tap the Share icon , the choose Share to access iOS share menu.
- Select your email client to create a new email with your selected image(s) attached.

Hi Tom - Mylio Photos’ send to email option on a computer only works with Apple Mail on macOS or Outlook on Windows. You can set your Gmail account up to work with one of these applications, however, you cannot directly send from Mylio Photos to a webmail service (such as Gmail).
If you prefer to use webmail, the better option is to use copy/paste to copy your photos from Mylio Photos, then paste them into the body of your email. Here is additional info: https://manual.mylio.com/topic/share-with-copy-and-paste-system-clipboard
