Working with an established Lightroom Catalog

If you have an established Lightroom Classic workflow, you can easily include Mylio in your workflow for advanced organization and syncing across all your devices.

Folders of images on your computer and external drives imported into Lightroom can also be watched by Mylio. At this time, Mylio will not automatically display edits made in Lightroom, but will synchronize edits written to XMP files.

If you want Mylio to display Lightroom edits, you can use the Mylio plugin under Lightroom’s Publish Services to export a JPG Display Copy.

To display Lightroom edits in Mylio:

1. Open an image in Lightroom that is in a folder also watched by Mylio.
2. Using Lightroom’s Develop module, edit your photo as desired.
   

3. When you’re finished editing, return to the Library module, open the Publish Services in the left panel, and drag your edited photo to the Mylio Photostream.

4. Click on the Photostream and your edited photo will appear in the New Photos to Publish section. Click the Publish button in the upper-right corner to send your edited JPG Display Copy to Mylio.

The edited JPG Display Copy will be automatically stacked with the Original in Mylio and displayed in the Mylio Catalog.

!NOTE: The image sent to Mylio via the Lightroom to Mylio Publish Service is a JPG Display Copy. If you need to refine your Lightroom edits or export a full-resolution copy of your photo, open Lightroom, locate the photo in your Lightroom Library, and export directly from Lightroom.

!NOTE: Any changes made in Lightroom after publishing to Mylio will need to be republished using the Mylio Publish Service in the Lightroom Library to be viewed in Mylio.
