Adding Devices to Your Mylio Library

Mylio is designed to make all your photos accessible on all your devices. Mylio can be installed on any Windows, Android, macOS, or iOS device that meets Mylio’s system requirements. Each device can be used to store Original files or sync optimized versions to save storage space.

Mylio also offers the option to add storage devices and cloud services as Vaults to protect your Original images. Vaults can be any device that has enough storage to hold your entire photo library. Common devices for Vaults are external drives, cloud storage providers, and desktop computers.

!NOTE: It is highly recommended to add at least one Vault to your library. A Vault protects you against device loss or theft as well as potential loss from a disk failure.

!NOTE: Adding a Device is different from Importing. Use the Import command to bring in images from an existing hard drive. The Add command is only used to connect devices to your Mylio Library.
