The Folders View in Mylio Photos gives you a clear, organized look at where your photos and videos are stored across all your devices. Folders in Mylio Photos represent real locations on your devices. That means when you organize, rename, or move folders in Mylio Photos, those changes are mirrored on your device’s file system.
Depending on how your media has been added, the Folders View is divided into several helpful sections:
- Mylio Photos Library (Individual Accounts), My Family Library (Family Accounts), or My Team Library (Team Accounts) – This section includes:
- Mylio InBox – A Mylio-created folder with a shortcut in Windows Explorer or macOS Finder, designed for quickly dragging and dropping media into your Mylio Photos Library for later organization.
- Mylio Pictures – A Mylio-created folder that serves as the default location for newly imported media.
- Apple Photos – A folder created when you connect an Apple Photos library (from iOS or macOS) to Mylio Photos.
- Android Photos – A folder created when you connect an Android device to Mylio Photos.
- Any folders you’ve designated as Library Folders.
- Shared Content – This section shows any shared content, such as the Sample Library if installed.
- Social Media – Shows folders containing media imported from social media accounts like Facebook or Flickr.
- Devices with Linked Folders – Lists folders stored on computers, external drives, or NAS devices that are linked (not copied) into Mylio Photos. These folders remain in place on their original devices and are managed from within Mylio.
- Custom Sections – Create sections for specific projects, like a family history archive, or organize by individual users when working in a Family or Team plan.
