Post Memories to FamilySearch

Mylio Photos’ Publish to FamilySearch feature allows users to post photos about their ancestors as Memories to the familysearch.org website. Memories can be viewed on the FamilySearch website and the FamilySearch mobile apps. When you post to FamilySearch, everyone else on your family tree can see and enjoy the content. Additionally, FamilySearch memories are entered into a permanent archive, ensuring that relatives in future generations can see the pictures and other media posted.

1. Select your photo(s): Choose a single image or a series of images that you’d like to post as Memories on familysearch.org.
2. Click the Share icon and choose Post > FamilySearch.

3. Check the box to agree to the Submission Agreement, then click Continue.
4. Sign in to your FamilySearch.org account.
5. Click the Accept button to allow the connection between Mylio Photos and your FamilySearch.org account.
6. Enter a description for each image you’re uploading, then click the Post button.

7. Once the upload is complete, you can find your image on the FamilySearch.org website under Memories.

*NOTE: If the Family History section is toggled ON, the image will be marked with a FamilySearch icon annotation in Mylio Photos.

*TIP: If you’ve already added a person’s FamilySearch ID in Mylio Photos, this information will automatically link your uploaded Memories to the correct profiles on FamilySearch.org.

*TIP: If you have the Family History section of the Info Panel enabled, you can click the Post Memories to Family Search button to quickly share Memories to FamilySearch.org.
