The Photo DeClutter tool helps you clean up similar photos in your Mylio Photos Library. These images are typically captured using burst mode on a camera, resulting in several near-duplicate photos. The Photo DeClutter tool scans your entire library and generates a list of files where it detects two or more images captured within a specified time frame.

How does Photo DeClutter work?

Photo DeClutter uses existing information in your catalog to quickly identify near-duplicate images and allows you to apply the following criteria to locate similar photos:

Match Aspect – All photos in a set must be either portrait (vertical) or landscape (horizontal) orientation.
Match Camera – All photos in a set must be captured with the same camera (make, model, and serial number).
Within – All photos within XX seconds will be considered a set. This is set to 2.0 seconds by default but can be adjusted to fit your needs.

  1. Click the Tools icon in the left sidebar and select Photo DeClutter .
  2. Scroll through the list and review the differences between similar files. Click here for more information on reviewing similar sets.
  3. Check the box for the similar file(s) you wish to move or delete.
  4. When you’ve finished reviewing the files, click the Delete Marked or Move Marked button.
