How Media Is Categorized While Syncing

When adding media to your Mylio Photos Library—whether from a new import, camera roll, or shared device—Mylio automatically begins syncing the media across your devices. To protect your privacy, all unsynced media is now categorized as Private by default during the syncing process. This means that until media has been fully synced, it will not appear in Shared or Public Spaces, even if your library is configured for sharing across multiple users or devices.

Changing Default Categorization for Unsynced Media

If you prefer a different categorization for newly syncing media, you can adjust this default setting:

To Change Default Categorization:

1. Click the More Menu icon in the top app bar.
2. Choose Settings, then select Organization.
3. Click Unsynced Media.

4. In the dialog that appears, you can:
   • Uncheck the Private category to make newly syncing media Public by default.
   • Add additional categories that should be applied automatically to new, unsynced media.

!WARNING: Changing the default from Private to Public may cause new imports to immediately appear in Shared Spaces or devices with shared access. Make this change only if you are certain you want all new media visible to others in your Mylio Photos+ network.
