The Guest Space is designed for temporarily sharing your device—such as a phone, tablet, or computer—while protecting your private content and restricting access to sensitive tools and settings. It’s ideal for situations when a friend or family member wants to browse your photo library without the risk of accidentally editing, deleting, or seeing private media.

How to Use the Guest Space

  1. Click the Spaces icon in the left sidebar.
  2. Select the Guest Space.
  3. If prompted, enter your Master Passcode.

To exit the Guest Space:

  1. Click the Spaces icon again.
  2. Choose another Space and enter your passcode to confirm access.

This ensures that only authorized users can return to unrestricted access after the device has been shared.

What the Guest Space Allows and Restricts

By default, the Guest Space has the following settings:

  • Access Control:
    • Requires the Master Passcode to enter or exit the Guest Space.
  • Visible Content:
    • Displays the same content as the Public Space (everything except media tagged with the Private category or hidden using file/folder hiding options).
  • Restricted Tools and Views:
    • Hides the Dashboard, Photo DeDupe, and Photo DeClutter tools from the interface.
  • Permissions:
    • Disables the ability to add, modify, or delete:
      • Files and folders
      • Albums
      • People
      • Events
    • Also restricts:
      • Photo editing
      • Sharing media
      • Access to application settings

These default restrictions ensure the Guest Space functions as a safe, view-only environment for shared device access.
